📅 Sunday, January 4th | ⏰ 1–3pm
📍 Gallery874 | 7259 Lansdowne Ave, Shrewsbury, MO 63119
✨ Free community event | Donations welcomed
Though the Winter Solstice officially occurs on December 21st, its energy continues to ripple through the weeks that follow. This gathering on January 4th is an invitation to integrate the solstice—to rest in the darkness after the turning point, to listen more deeply, and to carry the quiet wisdom of winter into the emerging year.
Held within the intimate, creative container of Gallery874, this indoor gathering invites you into warmth, reflection, and embodied presence during the heart of winter.
We’ll begin with a slow, nourishing yoga practice guided by April, designed to support the nervous system, release held tension, and gently open the body after the busyness of the season. This grounding flow will emphasize breath, intention, and deep listening—offering space to land fully in yourself.
From there, we’ll transition into a sound healing journey led by Dr. Charlotte, where crystal singing bowls and vocal toning create a cocoon of resonance and rest. As the vibrations move through the body, you’ll be invited into deep stillness, integration, and inner clarity—allowing the wisdom of the dark season to speak.
The Winter Solstice reminds us that rest is not stagnation—it is gestation. In the quiet, something new is forming.
💛 Why this practice matters:
✧ Early January lives in the deep winter season—a time for integration rather than initiation. This practice supports nervous system regulation, rest, and gentle reorientation as we cross the threshold into a new year.
✧ Yoga supports gentle circulation of energy, grounding the body during a season of contraction.
✧ Sound healing works on a cellular level to calm the nervous system, shift brainwaves, and create space for insight and renewal.
✧ The solstice marks a sacred pause—a reminder that darkness is not something to fear, but a necessary part of the cycle.
✧ This practice offers a sanctuary to rest, reflect, and plant intentions for the light returning ahead.
